A catering client once asked me: “Why does my lasagna always arrive looking like a mess?” The problem wasn’t the recipe. It was the container – too shallow, sauce touched the lid. Too deep, the noodles slid around. We gave him this gold 11.4 inch square, 85mm deep, 3500ml. The sauce sits 10mm below the rim. The lid stays clean. The lasagna layers stay intact. He switched 200 units a week.

The square shape matters more than you think. Round bowls waste corner space in hot bags. This one fits four to a standard insulated carrier. A meal prep company that delivers 500 family meals a day tested round vs. square. Square got the food hotter because less empty air around the trays. The gold color? Customers said the food felt “more premium.” Same recipe, different tray.

One kitchen uses these for their “freezer stash” program. They cook 10 gallons of bolognese, portion into these trays, stack them in a walk in freezer. The 85mm depth leaves enough headspace for expansion. No cracked plastic. No freezer burn on the top layer because the foil lid (crimp by hand) seals tight. They grab a frozen tray in the morning, thaw in the fridge, then reheat directly in the gold pan – no transfer.

A butcher shop found another use. They sell “ovenready” stuffed peppers. Six peppers fit in a single tray, standing upright, with sauce poured around them. The 85mm walls keep the peppers from tipping over. The customer covers with the plastic lid (snap on) and bakes at 180°C. The gold tray goes from fridge to oven to table. The butcher charges $28 for the kit. The tray cost them $0.45.

Packing is 200 per carton. Carton size 54.5 x 37.5 x 29cm. That’s all the numbers I’ll give you. The rest is about what this tray can do – from lasagna to stuffed peppers to bulk bolognese. No recycling lecture. No coating talk. Just a square, gold, 85mm deep box that solves real kitchen problems.

Want to test one? Grab a sample. Fill it with your messiest dish. See if the lid stays clean. That’s the only test that matters.
