A 95mm deep square tray isn’t for everyday takeout. It’s for the days when you need to pack a whole braised pork shoulder, a double batch of enchiladas, or six quarts of chicken soup for a sick friend. The volume is 4000ml. The footprint is 11.4 inches square – same as a standard oven rack. So it slides in, handles a heavy load, and comes out looking like you meant to serve it in gold.
A firehouse in Chicago uses these for their “family meal” rotation. The cook makes a giant pot of chili or a vat of spaghetti and meatballs, fills the tray, and covers with a foil lid. The crew reheats portions all shift. The 95mm depth keeps the sauce from splashing in the microwave. The gold color makes the firehouse kitchen feel less like a barracks and more like a home.
A butcher started selling “oven ready” pot roast kits. He layers potatoes, carrots, onions, and a seasoned chuck roast in the tray, adds broth, and seals with a plastic lid. Customers buy the kit, peel off the lid, and bake at 160°C for three hours. The gold tray goes straight into the oven. The butcher told us people keep the trays afterwards – they use them for freezer storage or as plant drip trays.
You don’t need a sealer machine. The foil lid crimps by hand – use your thumb and forefinger, work around the rim. The plastic lid snaps on for cold items or for customers who want to see the food. Either way, the 95mm wall gives you peace of mind: no overflow, no lid pop offs.
Packing is 200 per carton. The box is 55.5 x 35.5 x 28cm. That’s all the numbers. The rest is about what you can do with a deep, gold square that doesn’t ask for much in return.
One more thing: a gardener uses these as seed starting flats. The 95mm depth holds 4 inches of soil – enough for tomato seedlings to develop strong roots before transplanting. The gold color reflects light onto the leaves. After the season, he recycles the tray. So if you’re not cooking for a crowd, you can still find a use for it.
No recycling lecture. No coating chemistry. Just a tray that works.
