One hundred thirty three millimeters deep. That’s 5.2 inches. Stack two of the 280*4000 trays and you’re still not as tall as this one. This is the kind of container you use when you need to feed 60 people punch at a wedding, or store 6 liters of soup base in a commercial freezer, or brine a 20 pound turkey for Thanksgiving. The footprint is still 11 inches square – it fits on a standard oven rack or in a full size fridge. But the volume is 6000ml. That’s 1.6 gallons.

A wedding caterer in Las Vegas uses these for their “signature punch” station. They fill the gold tray with a mix of juices, sparkling water, and frozen fruit. The 133mm depth keeps the ladle upright. The gold color matches the decor. After the reception, they toss the tray – no washing of a giant punch bowl. The caterer says they save an hour of cleanup per event.

A ramen shop that makes its own broth uses these for freezing. They cook 6 liters of tonkotsu broth, pour it into the gold tray, and freeze solid. The 133mm depth creates a thick block that thaws slowly in the fridge, ready for daily use. The gold tray doesn’t crack like plastic. The owner told us they used to split the broth into 1 liter containers, but that took too much freezer space. One big tray is more efficient.

The 11 inch square is also a standard size for induction cooktops. A food truck uses these as “direct heat” pans. They fill with chili, place the gold tray on an induction burner, and heat directly. The aluminum conducts perfectly. No need to transfer to a pot. The gold color hides scratches from the cooktop.
Lid options: foil or plastic. The foil lid is crimped by hand – takes some effort, but doable with a rim this tall. The plastic lid snaps on for cold storage. For freezing, the foil lid works better because it seals tight.

Packing is 200 per carton. The carton is 57.5 x 38 x 30cm – a dense pack because the trays nest deeply. The gold lacquer is baked on, so it won’t scratch.
One unexpected use: a home brewer uses these as “mash tuns” for smallbatch beer. He mashes grains in the gold tray at 65°C, then strains. The aluminum heats evenly and doesn’t react with the wort. The 133mm depth holds 5 kg of grain and 12 liters of water. After brewing, he recycles the tray.

Recycling is straightforward. Rinse and toss. The gold coating burns off.

So if you need a container that holds a party punch, freezes bulk broth, or even mashes beer grains, this 6000ml deep square gold tray is ready. It’s deep, it’s square, and it’s cheap enough to use for almost anything.
