This little 3.3 inch round gold container holds 110ml – about 3.7 ounces. It's tiny, but that small size opens up some interesting uses. First, the heat seal: you can fill it with a concentrated broth or a dipping sauce, seal a film over the top, and send it out without any spill risk. A ramen shop uses these for their "soup shots" – a small portion of tonkotsu broth that customers pour over their noodles at home. No leaks, no mess.
But you don't have to heat seal it. The rim is also crimpable by hand. So if you're just packing a side of salsa, chimichurri, or barbecue sauce, fold a cardboard lid over it and go. The gold color makes even a simple sauce cup feel a bit more special – think catering events or holiday meal kits where presentation matters.
The 29mm depth is shallow, which actually helps with heat sealing. A shallower container means less air trapped inside, so the film sits flat and seals cleanly. Some buyers worry that small containers are tricky to seal because the film might not get enough contact. Not a problem here. The 3.3 inch diameter gives plenty of surface area for a tight seal.
From a cost perspective, 110ml is a great size for sampling or portion control. A hot sauce brand we know uses these for their variety packs – three different sauces, each in its own gold container, sealed with a clear film showing the color inside. Customers love the presentation. And the gold tray doubles as a tiny serving bowl. No extra dish to wash.
Production-wise, small round containers like this run fast on a press – 80 to 100 pieces per minute. The gold coating is applied before forming, so the color is even and won't flake off. The alloy is standard 8011, foodgrade, and fully recyclable.
One more use case: frozen portions. A meal prep service uses these for frozen gravy cubes. They fill with reduced stock, freeze solid, then heat seal a lid on top. Customers pop the frozen gravy cube directly into a pan – the aluminum tray goes in too, no transfer needed.
So whether you're doing sauce sides, soup shots, dessert cups, or frozen portions, this 3.3 inch gold container works with or without heat sealing. It's small, but it's versatile.
