Forty millimeters deep. That’s the difference between a sauce container and a soup container. At 300ml, this gold square sits right on the line — deep enough for a generous bowl of miso or a single portion of curry, but shallow enough that a heat seal foil lid can be applied without the food touching the film. The resin coating on our foil lids activates at 160–180°C, bonding to the container’s flange. No folding. No crimping. Just a clean, leakproof seal that holds up through a 45 minute delivery.

Why does depth matter for heat sealing? If the container is too shallow, the food contacts the lid film and prevents a proper bond. If it’s too deep, the air gap creates a “drumhead” effect that can stress the seal during transport. At 40mm, with a 300ml fill (about 35mm of food), you get a 5mm air gap. That’s the sweet spot. We learned this by testing thousands of seals in our own quality lab — not by guessing.

The gold lacquer isn’t a gimmick. It’s a functional barrier. A standard silver tray will discolor when in contact with tomato sauce or citrus based marinades; the aluminum can also leach a metallic taste into the food. Our coating prevents that. We apply it to the 8011 aluminum coil before forming, then bake it so it stretches with the metal without cracking. The coil comes from the Gongyi industrial base, where our 78,000㎡ facility is located — a region that’s been China’s aluminum hub for decades.

You have two lid options. The heat seal foil lid is for leakproof, tamper evident sealing — essential for soup delivery or frozen meal kits. The plastic snap on lid works for cold items or dry goods. Both are designed as single use, but the plastic lid is made from food grade PET that many customers rinse and reuse at home for leftovers or craft storage. The foil lid is aluminum and goes straight into recycling with the tray. Choose based on how your customer will use the package: a quick lunch delivery needs the foil seal; a dessert cup for a party might be fine with plastic.

Our production process is built around consistency. Six automated lines run daily in our 10,000㎡ dust free workshop, outputting 720,000 containers. Scrap from forming is fed into our closed loop recycling system — compacted, remelted, and returned as new coil. Nothing goes to landfill. We hold BRC certification, which means our packaging meets the standards of European supermarket chains. For custom orders, we offer logo embossing on the tray bottom or printed foil lids.
